Celebrating Our Students at Little Scholars Downtown Brooklyn

Our Student of the Month celebration is a meaningful way to recognize the growth and positive choices children make each day in the classroom. Taking time to celebrate children helps them feel seen, valued, and confident in who they are as learners and friends.

On February 27 at 10:00 AM, families are invited to join us as each classroom celebrates their Student of the Month. Classroom teachers will present a certificate and share a short story explaining why that child was selected. These stories highlight qualities such as kindness, effort, curiosity, and responsibility, helping children understand that positive actions and attitudes matter.

Each classroom honors their own student, allowing children to be recognized in a familiar and supportive environment. This type of recognition builds confidence, encourages children to take pride in their choices, and reinforces the behaviors we support every day in the classroom. It also helps other children see positive examples modeled by their peers.

Student of the Month celebrations support social emotional growth by teaching children how it feels to be acknowledged and how to celebrate others. These moments help children build self awareness, motivation, and a sense of belonging, while giving families insight into the everyday moments that shape learning at Little Scholars Downtown Brooklyn.
