Halloween is in the air! With every sweet-tooth’s favorite holiday right around the corner, now is the time to buy a big bucket of candy, sew up a pirate uniform and a princess gown for your kids, and prepare for trick-or-treaters. It’s also a special time to share your favorite holiday books with your little ones. If you’re searching for some excellent books to share with your children this Halloween, you’ve come to the right place. Here are two of our favorites here at Home Away From Home, your Florida daycare center:

Clifford’s Halloween by Norman Bridwell

Everybody loves Clifford the big red dog! Follow along as Clifford and Emily Elizabeth play games, and listen to spooky stories. Plus, you get to find out what the big red dog will decide to wear for trick-or-treating this Halloween! What do you think Clifford will wear? Perhaps he’ll be a proud knight, or maybe he’ll be a ghost… Your kiddo will love this Halloween classic, and they’ll be extra excited to get out in the neighborhood for trick-or-treating!

The Hallo-Wiener by Dav Pilkey

The Hallo-Wiener is a quirky tale that follows Oscar, a sweet wiener dog pup who’s made the odd choice to wear a hot dog costume for Halloween. While the other dogs are poking fun, Oscar ends up saving the day in this fun holiday tale. This 34-page classic is a book that your child will want to read even when Halloween is months away.

Enjoy trick-or-treating, enjoy pumpkin carving, and enjoy reading these two Home Away From Home daycare favorites! We’ll have more book recommendations soon!
