In your day-by-day activities, you will work on:

  • Assisting the lead teacher in creating a welcoming, engaging classroom
  • Assisting the lead teacher in the planning of weekly themes, lesson plans and carrying out daily activities
  • Supervising activities of children and provide stimulating activities
  • Maintaining a safe, healthy environment for children at all times
  • Actively engaging in daily activities and routines with children
  • Maintaining all required certifications
  • Ensuring compliance with all New York Department of Health rules and regulations

Required qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6 months or more of professional childcare experience
  • Ability to develop activities that are fun and educational for young children
  • Ability to instruct young children on rules of conduct and learning new tasks
  • Ability to effectively communicate with children and parents
  • Proficient active listening skills to understand and adapt to the various needs of children and parents
  • Patience and compassion are suitable for working with young children
  • Meet state-specific guidelines for the role

Advantages:
