We’re looking for a warm, creative, and energetic Lead Teacher to join our Preschool Program serving children ages 2 to 5 years old. Our classrooms are grouped by age, ensuring that each child learns in a space tailored to their developmental stage. You’ll be assigned to lead one of these groups based on your experience and classroom needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead one of the Preschool age-specific classrooms, providing individualized attention to meet each child’s needs.
  • Develop engaging lesson plans and activities that align with developmental milestones.
  • Foster curiosity, problem-solving, and early communication skills through play and exploration.
  • Partner with families to celebrate progress and maintain open communication.
  • Maintain consistent routines and an organized, nurturing environment.
  • Collaborate with assistant teachers and colleagues to create a positive team culture.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field (minimum 12 CORE ECE units).
  • 1+ years of experience teaching toddlers or preschoolers.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles.
  • Creativity, empathy, and the ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Compliance with all state and licensing requirements.
  • Ability to commute to 345 Adams Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NYS B-2 Teaching Certificate.
  • Bilingual or multilingual ability.
