Little Scholars is hiring a full-time Preschool Lead Teacher for our Downtown Brooklyn early childhood education center. You will lead a preschool classroom, plan developmentally appropriate learning activities, support children’s social-emotional and academic development, and communicate with families.

Responsibilities
- Lead one of the Preschool age-specific classrooms, providing individualized attention to meet each child’s needs.
- Develop engaging lesson plans and activities that align with developmental milestones.
- Foster curiosity, problem-solving, and early communication skills through play and exploration.
- Partner with families to celebrate progress and maintain open communication.
- Maintain consistent routines and an organized, nurturing environment.
- Collaborate with assistant teachers and colleagues to create a positive team culture.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field (minimum 12 CORE ECE units).
- 1+ years of experience teaching toddlers or preschoolers.
- Strong understanding of child development principles.
- Creativity, empathy, and the ability to build trusting relationships.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Compliance with all state and licensing requirements.
- Ability to commute to 345 Adams Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201.
Preferred Qualifications
- NYS B-2 Teaching Certificate.
- Bilingual or multilingual ability.
