Lead Toddler Teacher (Marine Park)

As our Lead Toddler Teacher, you will plan and lead developmentally appropriate lessons, manage daily classroom routines, and maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized preschool environment.

You will support children’s social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development while building positive relationships with families and collaborating with other teachers and center leadership.

Position Details:

Location: Little Scholars Learning Center, 4123 Avenue U, Brooklyn, NY 11234
Pay: $24–$27 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM
Job Type: Full-time, in person
Sign-On Bonus: $250

What You’ll Do:

• Plan and lead age-appropriate, play-based preschool lessons and classroom activities
• Create a warm, inclusive, and well-organized learning environment
• Adapt lesson plans to children’s interests, abilities, and developmental needs
• Manage classroom routines and use developmentally appropriate classroom-management practices
• Observe, assess, and document children’s learning and developmental progress
• Communicate professionally with parents and families
• Maintain active supervision and follow all health, safety, and childcare licensing requirements
• Collaborate with assistant teachers, administrators, and other early childhood educators
• Support each child’s social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development

Required qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
• At least 12 college credits in Early Childhood Education
• At least one year of preschool, daycare, childcare, or early childhood teaching experience
• Knowledge of early childhood curriculum and developmentally appropriate practice
• Strong classroom-management, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to reliably commute to 1502 W 1st St, Brooklyn, NY 11204
