Why Downtown Brooklyn Families Trust Little Scholars With Their Babies

Choosing infant care is one of the most personal decisions a parent makes. At Little Scholars on Adams Street, we understand that trust is built through consistency, transparency, and genuine love for each child in our care.

Here is what makes our program stand out:

  • Tiny group sizes. 5 to 8 babies per class with 2 dedicated caregivers. Your child receives real, individual attention every day.
  • Personalized care plans. Feeding schedules, sleep routines, and daily rhythms are built around your baby’s needs, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
  • Brightwheel updates throughout the day. Real-time photos, videos, and reports so you are never left wondering how your baby is doing.
  • Safe and secure environment. Security cameras in all classrooms, secure entry, and strict sign-in and sign-out procedures.
  • Year-round enrollment. Start when your family is ready. No waiting for a new term.
  • Vouchers accepted. ACS and HRA vouchers welcome.

Our Downtown Brooklyn infant program is built for the first year of life. Small groups, dedicated caregivers, and a research-backed curriculum combine to give your baby the nurturing environment they need to feel secure and grow.

Attachment-Centered Caregiving

Every baby at our Adams Street center has consistent caregivers who learn their rhythms, preferences, and personality. That consistency is not a nice extra. It is the foundation of secure emotional development in the first year of life.

Sensory Play That Stimulates Growing Minds

From soft textures to gentle sounds and contrasting colors, every sensory activity is chosen to stimulate your baby's cognitive development in a calm and age-appropriate way. Nothing too loud, nothing too fast, always intentional.

Language Immersion From Day One

Research shows that babies absorb language long before they speak. Our caregivers narrate, sing, read, and chat with your infant throughout the day, building the verbal foundations that support communication and literacy for years to come.

Movement and Physical Development

Supervised tummy time, gentle stretching, and daily movement routines help your baby build the strength and coordination needed for rolling, sitting, and crawling. Every physical milestone is tracked and shared with parents via Brightwheel.

How We Care for Brooklyn's Youngest Little Scholars

Everything we do for your infant at Adams Street is guided by principles we hold every single day.

Security is the starting point.
A baby who feels safe is a baby who grows. We build trust through consistent caregivers, predictable routines, and calm, attentive care from morning to close.

No two babies are the same.
We do not apply a single approach to every child. Each baby has their own pace, temperament, and needs. We follow your child's lead and adjust accordingly.

Parents should always feel informed.
We communicate openly and often. Through Brightwheel and direct contact with your caregivers, you will never be left guessing about how your baby's day is going.

Cleanliness is a standard, not an option.
Our infant room is maintained to strict hygiene standards at all times. Your baby's health and comfort depend on it, and we treat that responsibility seriously.
