The new location in Manhattan has been great for our child. The teachers made this transition really stress-free, and everything remains fun and nurturing as it was. My little one loves the activities and looks forward to going each day. I also appreciate how the staff kept us informed through this process. It has been such a great experience, and we are so glad we went with them!

Why Chelsea Families Trust Little Scholars with Their Infants
Handing your baby to someone else for the first time is one of the hardest things a parent does. At Little Scholars Chelsea, we take that trust seriously. We earn it every day.
Here is what sets us apart:
- Small, intimate groups. Our infant classes have just 5 to 8 babies and 2 dedicated caregivers. Your child is never just a number.
- Personalized care, always. Feeding plans, sleep schedules, and daily routines are built around your baby’s needs, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
- Real-time updates via Brightwheel. Photos, videos, nap reports, and feeding logs sent directly to your phone throughout the day.
- A safe, secure environment. Security cameras in all classrooms and common areas, secure entry systems, and strict sign-in and sign-out procedures.
- Year-round enrollment. Start when your family is ready. No waiting for September.
- Vouchers welcome. ACS and HRA vouchers accepted.
Our infant program is built around one simple belief: the first year of life shapes everything. Every caregiver on our team is CPR and First Aid certified, trained in early childhood development, and committed to giving your baby the consistent, loving attention they need to grow.
We Would Love to Meet Your Family
What Your Baby Experiences Every Day at Little Scholars Chelsea
Responsive, Loving Caregiving
Your baby's emotional security comes first. Our caregivers follow your child's cues, respond to cries, support naps, and build the warm, predictable routines that help infants feel safe. Secure attachment in the first year lays the foundation for everything that follows.
Sensory Exploration Through Play
Through gentle, age-appropriate activities, our teachers engage all five of your baby's senses. Soft textures, soothing sounds, contrasting colors, and safe objects to grasp and explore. Every activity is designed to stimulate growing minds without overwhelming them.
A Language-Rich Environment
Even before babies can speak, they absorb language. Our caregivers fill the day with songs, rhymes, narration, and conversation. This builds the foundation for communication and literacy long before your child's first birthday.
Physical Development and Tummy Time
Daily movement routines, including supervised tummy time, help your baby build neck strength, core stability, and motor coordination. Every milestone is celebrated and shared with parents through Brightwheel.
Nutrition Tailored to Your Baby
We follow your individualized feeding plan exactly, whether that is breast milk, formula, or early purees. Our caregivers coordinate with you to ensure your baby's nutrition schedule is followed throughout the day.
Real-Time Connection for Parents
Through the Brightwheel app, you are never out of the loop. Expect daily photos and videos, real-time meal and nap reports, and direct messages from your baby's caregiver. Being at work does not mean missing out. We keep you close, every step of the way.

How We Care for the Youngest Little Scholars
Everything we do for your infant is guided by principles we have held from day one.
Your baby's security comes before everything.
An infant who feels safe is an infant who grows. We prioritize emotional security above all else: consistent caregivers, predictable routines, and attentive, unhurried care.
Every baby develops at their own pace.
We never rush milestones or compare children. Our role is to meet your baby exactly where they are and gently support what comes next.
Families are our partners, not just our customers.
From your first tour to your baby's last day in the infant room, we communicate openly and often. You will always know how your child is doing.
A clean, calm environment is non-negotiable.
Our infant room is maintained to the highest hygiene and safety standards. Your baby's health is always our first responsibility.

The infant program runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Enrollment is year-round, so your child can start at any point during the year.
How do you handle feeding?
We follow your individualized feeding plan exactly. Whether that is breast milk, formula, or baby puree, parents provide the food, and we follow your instructions carefully, including feeding times and quantities.
How will I know what is happening with my baby during the day?
We use the Brightwheel app to send real-time updates throughout the day. You will receive photos, videos, nap logs, meal reports, and notes from your baby’s caregivers. You will feel connected even when you are at work.
Can I request to view camera footage?
All classrooms and common areas are monitored by internal security cameras. Live access is not available to protect the privacy of all children in our care. If you would like to review specific footage, Director Jennifer Nelson can coordinate a playback with our technology team.
Do you accept childcare vouchers?
Yes. We accept ACS and HRA vouchers. If your voucher is still pending approval, your child can begin on a paid basis.
